We all have secrets (don't try to deny it)
Some keep secrets about what they ate that day (yes, I had popcorn tonight), sometimes it is a crush, at times you may keep secrets about a way you are feeling. Regardless of the secret it is typically kept a secret for one main reason and that is...fear of judgement. We all have passed judgement on someone else and we have all had judgements made on us. (maybe the title should have been judgements instead) We don't get to decide what other people think or feel about what we wear, how we talk, or what our religion is, they get to decide all on their own. Why should we get upset over something that someone else feels? If they have problems with something then whose problem is it really? Would you spend time with someone if you knew exactly what they were thinking about you all the time? Would you really want to know all the bad remarks people make about your wardrobe? Secrets are not always a bad thing they just get a bad rap. Secrets can save hearts, save someone from an eating disorder, keep a friendship tighter, or just save you from the judgement that you did not need to know existed. Leason is next time you find out about someones secret think about why they were trying to keep a secret or most importantly do not pass judgement on them for that secret.

Okay, I've been a little pre-occupied with some other things in life....facebook, work, family, and everything in between too!
I found the perfect way to get back into things with a Holiday all of its own...January 19th is National Popcorn Day!!!
My favorite treat! With this time of year being focused on eating healthy and having snacks available so your body does not go into starvation try a light, healthy version and try popping your very own.

Big News
(I just had to document it)
Here is the order of events that lead up to the News....
Monday afternoon: My phone rings while I am in a meeting with a coleague and I let it ring, seeing later that it is a missed call from my sister.
Monday early evening: Email sent to Mom about something over the holiday weekend. Found out that there is a possibility of sister coming to town.
Monday evening: While on the phone with Dad he asked if I had spoke to sister that day, I say that I missed her call. He stated that she had Big News at which point I ask or maybe stated SHE's PREGNANT? He says no. He says it is not his news to share (which if you know my dad he can't keep a secret) so I figure it must be big news!!!
Later on Monday evening: Imagination running wild, I know shes not pregnant (well, dad at least told me that she wasn't) so the next BIG NEWS that I can think of is she's moving back to the states!!!! I tell Abe that I think that is the news.
Tuesday at work: In the spirit of my randomness I tell people at work that I think my sister is going to be moving back to the states...just because I share random things with people.
Tuesday afternoon: Sister calls me, we start talking and she says something along the lines of I have news to share....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................anitcipation sets in................................................................................................................................................................................................and she says that my nephew got his first tooth!
I know!!! I told Dad I had a bone to pick with him! While I am excited that Baby Benjamin has his very first tooth you can imagine the slight let down.
So there is not another niece or nephew on the way and they are not moving back to the states but I get a visit over the Thanksgiving holiday with my sis and nephew!

Fall
Fall is here!
In the last week the southern states have had some beautiful weather (hey, we deserve it!)
Tuesday night the entire family went to a high school stadium to watch many Bands play including Elijah's band, sitting on the bleachers with the bright lights overhead in the cool weather was just wonderful and it is what fall is to be all about.
Wednesday night Elijah's middle school had a football game against his old middle school, this game was being played at a different high school stadium and Elijah and his friends decided to stay after school to go watch the game. The thought of him being responsible to get himself over to the game and eat something for dinner made this mother nervous. I made sure he had his phone with him and that he understood he could not turn it on until after school, he had to have some money to get into the game and grab something to eat at the concession stand and call us when he is ready to be picked up. I had to put my two cents in and let him know not to kiss any girls, no making out underneath the bleachers, no smoking, drugs, and anything else that I thought would be a precautionary measure :) Having a teenager freaks me out a bit, maybe because I know what all they can get into!
